Physicians and public health officials agree that the single most important role you can play in your own health is to wash your hands. Why is this old-fashioned idea coming to the forefront again - and what does it mean to you and trade shows?

Recently, I had the pleasure of presenting a training session at an association’s annual meeting and trade show. One of the exercises we did was to estimate the average cost of attending the event.

We considered it was a national meeting which extended over 4 days. What was included and what did it cost? In round numbers:

If you think you’re on sales duty only when you’re in the booth - well, you’re just plain wrong. A trade show is more than your booth, more than your time in that space. It’s the entire venue, maybe even the whole city and it’s your obligation to cast a wide net for prospects and clients.
